Honduras SMS numbers: +504 and the eight-digit migration

Why old seven-digit examples mislead

ITU notices from Honduras regulator CONATEL record two changes: mobile numbers grew from seven to eight digits in 2007, and fixed numbers moved to eight digits in 2010 by adding 2 before the old fixed number. Historical material can contain both old calling examples and the migrated format. Applying a seven-digit blog example, or adding 2 to a newly purchased mobile number, would change the destination incorrectly. Use the complete +504 number actually shown in the order.

Those notices describe a nationwide numbering change, not present SMS4U supplier pools. Eight digits are a useful format check, but do not by themselves prove that a particular sender will deliver SMS.

Compare sender and pool separately

Check the order before troubleshooting delivery

If the app reports a format error, see whether it inserted +504 and whether the remaining digits match the order exactly. Do not add 2 or drop the first digit yourself. For a region refusal, check the sender’s policy. If it says a text was sent but none appears, keep the request time and order timer. A one-time SMS purchase does not supply later account recovery or voice calls.
