Lyft verification texts: sign-in, call fallback and old-number recovery
Check whether Lyft actually sent an SMS to your current number; its call and email recovery options follow different paths.

Match Lyft’s sign-in prompt to the number
Lyft says its app sends a text code when a user logs in. If it does not arrive, the help center suggests checking the entered number and account-alert subscription, waiting a few minutes and using Problem receiving the code? when offered. The Call me with the code option is a voice call. SMS4U receives texts only, so an SMS order cannot answer that call.
If Lyft reports a mismatch, the code may have expired or the phone entry may need correction. Check the exact country code and destination on your own screen. Repeated orders cannot revive an expired code. Receiving one text also does not establish that a rider account has met other safety, payment or regional conditions.

Use email recovery for a lost old phone
For an account whose old number is unavailable, Lyft describes Find my account: enter the account email, follow the recovery email and then verify a new phone number. That is a different task from signing up with an unbound number. A new SMS4U order cannot read texts sent to the old phone or open the account mailbox.
Lyft also describes a separate rider-verification process involving personal information. A text code is not that safety review. Driver eligibility, rides, identity and payments follow Lyft’s own rules and supported markets; SMS4U cannot perform these steps or contact Lyft support for you.
Check market and SMS stock independently
SMS4U currently shows Lyft SMS products for the United States and Canada. A quote in another country does not prove Lyft operates there or accepts that number for a particular account. Check your current Lyft screen and market first, then inspect the live pool, timer and final price in the picker.
If Lyft switches to a phone call, do not treat a text-only order as a substitute. English USD amounts are indicative; balance, top-ups and the actual order debit remain in CNY. For continued access to ride history, use an email and phone number that you can keep controlling.
