Battle.net SMS and phone eligibility: plan for continued access

Distinguish phone alerts from a one-time text

Blizzard describes Battle.net Phone Notifications as a way to hear about important account changes. Texts may also help unlock an account, remove a lost authenticator, recover an account name or approve a password reset. Those are later events that can send another message to the same number. A short SMS activation cannot promise that future recovery message. If the account holds games, purchases or progress you expect to keep, use a phone number you can retain and maintain other recovery methods offered in your security settings.

Eligibility is a separate issue from message delivery. Blizzard says the feature is for text-enabled mobile phones in supported countries, excludes VoIP numbers including ones transferred to a local carrier, and allows a number on only one Battle.net account. SMS4U stock in a region does not establish that Blizzard will accept an individual number. Read the current account screen and its country requirements before considering an order.

Check a new-number SMS step before comparing offers

If your current Battle.net flow explicitly offers to text a new number, first check the calling code, the full number format, your right to use it and the account's eligible region. The offers below show current SMS4U activation choices by country. For example, the US and UK guides concern different calling codes; the cheapest quote is not necessarily suitable for the form. The picker shows the live pool, time window and final CNY charge. After ordering, request the Blizzard text within that window and inspect Active orders. An offer is not a Blizzard eligibility check.

If no text arrives, recheck the digits and calling code entered at Battle.net, the selected SMS route and the order's remaining time. Avoid repeatedly requesting codes and confusing an older message with the latest one. A response saying the number is ineligible, already in use or from an unsupported country is a platform rule; waiting for an SMS does not fix it. Follow Blizzard's own phone-number support path for that message.

Plan for a replacement phone or a lost number

Blizzard distinguishes replacing a device while keeping the same mobile number from losing access to the number itself. Phone Notifications remain associated with the retained number. If you will not keep it, Blizzard directs users to its support process for removing notifications or changing account access. A different new number cannot receive a recovery text addressed to the old one. SMS4U only receives texts for a current activation; it does not provide voice calls, prove account ownership or grant ongoing control of the phone number.
