Paysend SMS verification: sign-in, same-country number changes and transfers

Paysend uses SMS for sign-in and some phone changes. Its help says a replacement number must be in the same country, and some accounts need support.

Distinguish a sign-in code from a number-change code

Paysend’s help says a forgotten app passcode can be reset by signing out and logging in with an SMS code. A signed-in user may instead change a number in Profile and Personal info, then verify the new number. If the current screen texts the old registered number, a new order cannot receive it. If the edit control is absent, Paysend directs that account type to support.

Paysend also says the replacement number must belong to the same country as the old one and must not already be linked to another account. A quote for a different country does not solve an existing-account change. Check your account country, old-number access and login state before ordering.

A transfer contact number may matter later

In some supported countries, Paysend can send to a Paysend account by mobile number. An unregistered recipient may receive a registration link by SMS. That number is therefore more than a one-time code destination: the recipient may need it again for account access, withdrawal and continuing control. An SMS4U order is not a transfer or a full recipient account.

Compare current Paysend combinations on the UK and France pages. Indicative prices are USD snapshot values; the final order debits CNY. Paysend’s own account-country and product options determine whether a country number or transfer method is allowed.

Investigate the exact failure

Check whether the Paysend screen is signing in or changing a number, whether the destination equals the ordered number, and whether the same-country rule applies. Then inspect the active order and inbound texts. A “number already linked,” region mismatch or support-review message is an account issue; buying another similar order will not change that status.

Enter finance-related codes only in the Paysend interface you opened. Do not relay them to a caller claiming to be support or to a transfer recipient. For continued use, keep a number you can control and update it through the official path before you lose the old one.
