Receiving and sending a text are different capabilities

Zalo's registration troubleshooting describes routes that may require sending an SMS or contacting a hotline as instructed in the app. Its number-change guidance also includes sending a specified message from the new number. Receiving a code and sending a message from that number are different operations, even though both mention SMS.

SMS4U provides incoming messages, not outbound texts or hotline calls. If your current Zalo flow requires either operation, use a phone number you can operate yourself. Check capability before price. A stock entry does not let you skip the app's actual instructions.

Check international entry and number type

Zalo's official account-creation help asks overseas users to check the country code and mobile number. It also says landlines and VoIP numbers are unsupported. Do not infer an accepted number type from a flag, pool label or price; the target platform makes its own decision.

An invalid-number message during entry is a reason to inspect the country selection and complete number. A rejected code after receipt is a different problem: check its entry and expiry notice. Follow Zalo's current procedure for an expired code. This page promises neither a universal validity period nor successful acceptance.

A number-change notice needs continued control

Zalo's current update-number notice concerns reclaimed numbers and calls for an update within 14 days of the notice. That is not the lifetime of an SMS order. For contacts and conversations you want to retain, prepare a number you can keep controlling and that supports the actual change process.
