Google Voice verification: linking a number versus claiming a Voice number
Google Voice can text a linked mobile number, while claiming a Voice number has separate eligibility checks. SMS4U inventory is not approval.

Identify the Google Voice step first
Google’s linked-number help says a mobile number can receive a text code, while a landline may use a voice call. SMS4U is for inbound SMS; it does not receive calls. Claiming a new Google Voice number is a separate process in which Google chooses availability and eligibility. A number that receives one text is not thereby approved for claiming a Voice number.
If the screen asks to reverify a number already linked to your Voice account, check the masked destination. A new order will not receive a code sent to an old linked number. Google also says a number already linked to a Voice number cannot simply be linked again. Use the official account settings and recovery paths for a number you already own.

A US quote is supply information only
The US number page shows whether a Google Voice activation offer is currently listed. Use the picker for the exact number pool, time limit and final CNY charge. Google may check number type, prior use and account eligibility. SMS4U cannot see that decision in advance, so do not equate the lowest USD quote with an accepted registration.
Google Voice itself is a calling, texting and voicemail product. Buying an SMS4U order does not deliver a Voice number, Google account, voice-call verification or long-term forwarding. If Google says a number is ineligible, repeating the same purchase pattern is unlikely to address the stated reason.
Protect the verification code
Google warns against sharing a linked-number verification code with another person or site. Enter a code only when you initiated the step in your own Google Voice page. An unexpected code should prompt an account-security check, not a reply to a stranger. Future re-verification can require continued control of the linked number.
For “cannot link,” “already linked” or claim failures, keep Google’s exact error and follow its linked-number or account-help instructions. SMS4U can confirm whether a text reached the ordered number; it cannot remove Google’s duplicate-link, region or account-eligibility restrictions.
