OKX SMS codes: linked numbers, missing texts and recovery

OKX says SMS codes go to the mobile phone linked to the account. If a sign-in or second-factor screen masks your old number, a newly ordered number will not receive that text. Identify whether the present task is adding or changing a new phone, or satisfying verification for an existing linked phone. For an account with assets, retain a phone, email and authenticator that you control over time. A short SMS activation is not a continuing security channel and does not replace OKX's ownership and financial security checks.

Regional product rules and available verification methods can differ. Stock for an OKX code in a country does not imply that OKX accepts that number for your account or permits your account's region. If the current screen requires facial verification, email, an authenticator or confirmation through an old phone, SMS4U can only receive a text; it cannot complete those steps. Read your actual OKX prompt and applicable regional guidance before considering an order.

Troubleshoot a missing text before trying another number

If you really are at an SMS step for a new number, confirm the calling code, full digits and current stock. Brazil and the UK use different calling codes; a cheaper region might still be unsuitable for your OKX account. The picker shows the live pool, time window and final CNY charge. For a missing SMS, OKX suggests waiting and confirming the linked number, clearing browser or app cache, trying another OKX platform and using an alternative verification choice if offered. Its help also says codes expire and too many wrong attempts can lock an account temporarily. Follow the actual screen rather than guessing repeatedly. If the old linked number is unavailable, proceed to OKX's reset-security-method path; another new-number purchase cannot receive the old phone's code.

Changing an old phone can trigger security checks

OKX distinguishes a phone you can still access from one you have lost. The first route may verify the old number before the new one; the other uses an Unable to verify or reset-authentication route and may require other account checks. Its help warns of a 24-hour restriction on withdrawals and some trading after a phone change; the current terms for your account's region govern. If you cannot sign in, use OKX's official support channels and never hand a code to a stranger. SMS4U cannot decide account ownership or collect messages sent to an old number you no longer control.
